Although the business launched just recently, it began as an idea 3 years ago. Susan was working at a bank as an Associate Investment Advisor and hated it! Her job involved absolutely no creativity and she was completely uninspired and unmotivated. She wanted to find an outlet for her creativity that could make money. She decided that she wanted to combine her love of travel and jewelry, and create a line of travel and activity-inspired jewelry.

Before she started the brand, she would be at my desk job and scroll through pictures of all these women on Instagram who were travelling the world, which made her a bit jealous. She realized that she wanted to start a community where women, no matter where in the world they were and what job they had, could purchase a piece of adventure and join a community of women who, although maybe weren't traveling to St. Tropez every weekend, shared the same travel and adventure dreams as them. She wants this community to be a positive thing in women's lives so that instead of feeling jealous, they feel inclusiveness and inspiration.

Jomami’s gold, silver, gold plated, and gold filled affordable jewelry is for women to wear on the go. Their jewelry is made for the active, dynamic woman who does it all, and keeps up with everything she does.

Each collection is based on a different travel destination- because what kind of adventure girl doesn't like to travel and explore!? Their debut Zama collection inspired by the nature of Tulum and the anchor product is a peridot necklace, whose green colour represents the lush jungle of the Mayan Riviera.

Each of piece is named after adventurous women who inspire us to take action in our own life.

The brand is based around nature, and the natural wonders of our world, so naturally they take the issue of sustainability very seriously. In order to do their part, they package products in wooden boxes and velvet pouches that are intended to be reused as storage for your jewelry. In an attempt to give back in a more concrete way, they donate five per cent of every purchase to two incredible causes: Plan International and the Environmental Defense Fund.
